Who is Bluecannon Ventures?
Bluecannon Consulting is the digital marketing services division of Bluecannon Ventures, a holding company based in Raleigh, NC. Started in 2018 as a side project to rent sets of cornhole, Bluecannon Ventures has grown into an enterprise comprised of multiple business units across 9 different states and continues to grow each day. With holdings in event rentals, real estate, digital marketing services, home services, online retail and small business investing, BCV is a vehicle for brothers Gordon and Frank Buchanan to help clients across multiple industries. We treat our clients like partners, and honesty, respect and trasparency are the main tennets by which we operate.

Bluecannon Consulting is the hub of our business model as a full service web and marketing service provider based in Raleigh, NC. We specialize in helping small local businesses succeed at local online marketing. From web development to SEO to social media management, we can help drive leads and revenue.
Triangle Lawn Games is a lawn game rental specialist with locations in Texas, the Carolinas and Indiana. We focus on affordable event rentals of great games like cornhole, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4 and more. We also make custom cornhole boards and other games.
Buchanan Development Partners is the real estate division of Bluecannon Ventures, focused on property development and rental holdings. We buy, develop, sell, and rent properties in Idaho and beyond.
Anthony’s Lawn Care & Landscaping is a leading tree service and landscaping firm based in Bloomington, IN and serves all of south central Indiana. Started by Anthony Hilb in 2013, BCV became a minority partner in 2020 and besides helping with marketing and web services helps to grow and manage this leading lawn services company.
Skibum/Van Life is a lifestyle website focused on adventure travel, van living, and ski resort town guides. It also provides travel guides on other destinations, product buying guides, and other useful information for the freedom seeker in all of us.
Pick of the Knitter is a specialty import business focused on bringing high quality baby alpaca yarn to the US from Peru. Founded from a trip to the mountains of Peru to visit Machu Pichu, we have focused on quick delivery and affordable prices on the softest yarn in the world.
Our Team
Gordon Buchanan
CEO
Gordon Buchanan is CEO of Bluecannon Ventures and with Frank manages the overall direction and operation of the various holdings across the US along with handling the bulk of digital marketing and SEO duties.
Growing up in Nashville, IN he attended Indiana University from 2006-2010 and received a bachelors in Journalism. Gordon has spent the past decade in the marketing industry, from sales at Angie’s List to building and leading a 20 person team as the operations manager at WRAL Digital Solutions in Raleigh, NC. This led to starting a lawn game rental service – Triangle Lawn Games, and leaving to open his own digital marketing shop – Bluecannon Consulting.
His passion is building simple clean websites for clients and helping them win the difficult game of SEO. He is married to the amazing Morgan (Lovit) Buchanan and enjoys music, reading, hiking, climbing, traveling and being on the youth board of Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina.
Frank Buchanan
COO
Frank Buchanan is COO of Bluecannon Ventures and has a variety of responsibilities within the company including client aquisition, lawn game operations and finances.
After earning a mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University, Frank spent years in the oil services world during which time he also obtained a Masters of Petroleum Engineering from the Univeristy of Houston. In addition to helping with finances, new client aquisition, and general operations Frank continues his path to master digital marketing and small business growth.
When not skiing around the US or playing competitive Rugby for his club team, Frank can be found getting swole at the gym, crushing trivia at a local Houston bar or hanging out with his girlfriend planning their next adventure.
Frank is the primary operator for Houston Lawn Games, and also heads operations at Pick of the Knitter, our online yarn retail store.
Anthony Hilb
Director of Business Development/GM of Home Services
Anthony Hilb is the director of business development and assists with sales, marketing, and business consulting for clients while being the majority owner and operator of our partner company, Anthony’s Home Services LLC.
Growing up in LaPorte, IN to a large italian family, Anthony has had a truly frenetic work ethic since childhood. After graduating IU in 2010 Anthony has started a variety of businesses, from a publishing company to his current main gig – Anthony’s Lawncare and Landscaping which has grown into one of the most successful lawn management companies in the area.
He and his wife Nicole have a precocious and wicked smart son Andrew, and with his limited free time Anthony enjoys drumming, running, reading and traveling.
JJ Lillibridge
Partner/Director of Operations – Triangle Lawn Games
JJ Lillibridge with his wife Mae make up part of the team running Triangle Lawn Games, the nation’s largest provider of yard game rentals. JJ has been a partner in TLG since 2022 and helps to manage day to day affairs and is responsible for a variety of business functions including payroll, employee management, customer service and outreach and sales. Part of the TLG family since 2020, JJ and Mae have helped grow the business from 5 locations to 23 while building a team and client focused organization that is designed to empower our teams to create positive customer experiences within the lawn game rental marketplace.
When JJ is not not focused on growing in my professional life, he and his wife Mae love to spend time supporting their church, traveling, visiting family and friends, and just enjoying time in the backyard and at the house in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
